O Lugar e o som: estudo geográfico da “música guarani”: reflexões a partir do ensino

Abstract

For a long time it has discussed about the crisis of modernity, and within this debate is the perception that the new conditions of social structure are in some ways so altered, that the consolidated human science analytical systems are not able to reply the demands required by today's society. Before those limits, it becomes necessary to consider the geography teaching beyond the expertise of a geometric space, in other words, a knowledge that meets spatial manifestation of human life, and is in line personal experience, imagination, memory and creativity. In this quest, art can point us in new directions and, therefore, will be established in this study, a dialogue between geography and music, where the focus is the analysis of the construction of territorial identity in Mato Grosso do Sul starting from regional and popular songs. The thought of Gilles Deleuze, from their concepts of ritornello, nomadic war machine and rhizome will trace lines of escape, shifting the initial directions of research, reaching out to musical expressions of indigenous peoples, understanding them as a counterpoint to the sense of territorial identity built by the State Thinking.
