Práticas de resistência agroecológica no assentamento Geraldo Garcia a partir do chão da educação do campo

Abstract

The struggle for land in Brazil is known for conflicts and violence. The agrarian question implementing the settlements brings a new historical context, through time and the consolidation of territorial space, emerging with the peasants' resistance for a piece of land. Agribusiness, every day, has been appropriating peasant territories, aiming at profit and mischaracterizing the peasant way of being and living. These issues to be investigated motivated the research and analysis on which are the resistance practices of rural education, in which peasants and peasants are fighting this agribusiness system within the settlement. Thus, the present research had as its general objective: to describe and analyze the resistance practices of rural education within the territory of the Geraldo Garcia settlement, in the municipality of Sidrolândia/MS. To fulfill this objective, a participatory research was carried out, starting from a dialectical conception. The following instruments were used: Informal conversations, interviews and records in notebooks. Considering the above, it is noted that the process of struggle for land in the Geraldo Garcia settlement is permeated by the historical process, in addition to also considering the specificities of the organization of peasant time and the subjects involved there. The role of women should also be highlighted as a role of struggle, care and survival. For future work, it is recommended to delve further into the social complexities that permeate this environment.
