Abstract: Scientific collections, such as herbaria, are an efficient way of documenting biodiversity. The DDMS Herbarium of the Federal University of Grande Dourados, indexed in the Index Herbariorum and associated with the Brazilian Herbarium Network, is located in the municipality of Dourados, and has about 8,000 records available online. This study aims to provide information about the computerization process of the DDMS Herbarium and propose actions to improve the process and the quality of data available online. The analyzed data were obtained through the speciesLink platform. To list the improvement actions for the DDMS Herbarium, the SWOT matrix was used. Angiosperms were the most representative (78.8% of the records), followed by Gymnosperms (1%), Lycophytes and Ferns (11.4%) and Bryophytes (7%). As for the level of determination, there are 3,751 records in kind, 944 by genus, 939 by family, 571 undetermined, as well as 130 synonymous and 37 ambiguous records. In the
collection there are 13 species of Angiosperms at risk of extinction. The DDMS Herbarium holds 28% of the number of species in Mato Grosso do Sul, with 47% of the records collected in the Grande Dourados Region. There were 4,870,308 data usage records of which 130,491 were used for downloads, 2,002,328 for making inventories, 1,507,313 for making maps, 1,198,082 for making statistical summary and 32,093 for querying records. Thus, it is possible to infer that the DDMS Herbarium data are more used for identification, as well as to analyze the distribution of species. 18 actions were elaborated from the SWOT matrix, and these actions are related to the management and maintenance of the collection, as well as initiatives for better use of the physical space currently available. It is hoped that the actions can improve the conservation of specimens and improve the quality of online data.

Abstract: Ecological functionality is a group of processes and mechanisms by which the ecosystem maintainsitself in balance, these processes can be quantified through the transfer rates of energy and materials. Anthropic activities of land use and occupation degrade ecosystems and their natural processes are affected, requiring ecological restoration for the return of these processes. Agroforestry Systems (AFS’s) are relevant techniques in the restoration of degraded areas, they are composed of interactions between different species of forest plants, such as woody ones and agricultural crops, sometimes also with animals, which with proper management have the capacity to produce food on the same land without requiring high levels of external inputs, while conserving the environment. It can be said that it’s implementation, in addition to economic factors, such as production and social factors, such as food support; it also brings many benefits to the soil, biodiversity and ecosystem services related to air, water, nutrient cycling and others. The analysis of the many ecological attributes of the novel ecosystem is
necessary to measure the conditions for the return of environmental processes. For this, ecological indicators involving stability, resilience and reliability of the ecosystem were used to evaluate the ecological functionality of an Agroforestry System in Mato Grosso do Sul located in the city of Ivinhema. The methodology was the MESMIS – Framework for Assessing the Sustainability of Natural Resource Management Systems Incorporating Sustainability Indicators. Reference values were obtained based on the literature of similar reference fragments. The AFS reached 23 of 36 points of the ideal reference parameters, and demonstrated intermediate functionality of the area, with high results for the Stability and Resilience attribute, and low values for the Reliability attribute, but these results are consistent
with the age of the area, being an initial forest. Future monitoring of lagged factors can help to keep track of the return of these processes over time.

Abstract: Aedes aegypti is a cosmopolitan insect belonging to the Culicidae family, which from the 17th century to the present day has been the main transmitter of dengue. To carry out this work, data from the collection of ovitrap traps (where 8 traps were used per week) carried out in the city of Itaquiraí between 2015 to 2018 were used. The information was organized and the variables analyzed were the total number of eggs and the Ovitrap positivity (IPO), monthly and yearly. As a result: 61,806 Aedes aegypti eggs were collected, the average number of eggs found per trap was 45.96; The annual IPO: 2015 (76.89%), 2016 (34.70%), 2017 (23.50%) and 2018 (23.08%); in 2015 the most positive month was April (92.18%), in 2016 it was February (74.46%), in 2017 it was January (54.24%) and in 2018 it was January (51.83%). Analyzing the results obtained, it is possible to conclude that the period of greatest risk for contracting dengue permeates between the first months of the year (January to April) due to the high index of IPO
of Ae. aegypti females. Environmental and climatic factors, as well as control and monitoring measures are fundamental for the reduction of the vector population, in addition, entomological surveillance through ovitrap traps combined with awareness campaigns are fundamental tools to direct prevention actions and vector control.

Abstract: Currently, the number of consumers who opt for the selection of natural products that meet their needs, as well as sustainable guidelines, has been growing exponentially. From the perspective of cosmetics associated with skin care, facial masks stand out among other cosmetics due to their practicality and fast action. Among the types of facial masks, peel off is the most recommended for sensitive and dehydrated skin. Cochlospermum regium (Schrank) Pilger. is a relevant plant due to its active compounds and popular use for dermatological treatments, presenting itself as an option in the elaboration of natural cosmetics. In this context, the present work aimed to develop formulations of peel off facial masks with ethanolic foliar extract of C. regium (EEFC) and to evaluate its antimicrobial and antioxidant activity. The extract was incorporated into the base of a peel off facial mask already established in the literature. For the determination of their antimicrobial activity, the formulations were evaluated against Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 25923) and Candida tropicalis (ATCC 750) by disk
diffusion, well and by quantification of colonies. The antioxidant activity of the extract was evaluated by the free radical scavenging mechanisms 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2 – Azino-Bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), and the formulation elaborated by the DPPH method, as well as a commercial mask associated with antioxidant action. The results indicated that the elaborated formulations did not maintain the antimicrobial activity performed by the extract. Regarding the antioxidant activity of the EEFC, it presented IC50 of 21.81 and 5.66 by the ABTS and DPPH radical capture method, respectively. The C. regium peel off facial mask formulation maintained the antioxidant activity of the extract (IC50 5.10) and the commercial facial mask did not demonstrate the antioxidant activity promised on the label (IC50 >250). These results on the elaborated formulation are unprecedented and promising for the use of C. regium extracts in cosmetic products.
