Abstract: Prenatal care is essential to ensure the health and well-being of women and newborns, playing a central role in reducing maternal mortality and complications related to pregnancy and childbirth. This study focuses on the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, which comprises 79 municipalities and has a population of 2,757,013 inhabitants (IBGE, 2022). The aim is to analyze how the race/ethnicity variable influences access to and adequacy of prenatal care provided by the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) and its impacts on maternal mortality outcomes between 2009 and 2021. This is a descriptive and retrospective study with a quantitative and spatial approach, based on secondary data obtained from the Mortality Information System (SIM) and the Live Birth Information System (SINASC), accessed&#xD;
through DATASUS. The data were analyzed using thematic cartography, allowing the identification of territorial patterns and racial inequalities in maternal health. The results indicate that Black, Brown, and Indigenous women face greater barriers to adequate prenatal care, associated with socioeconomic, geographic, and structural factors, which exacerbate maternal health inequalities. Border regions present specific challenges related to economic, political, and social asymmetries. A high proportion of incomplete records was also identified, revealing weaknesses in health information systems. The study concludes that cartography is a strategic tool for territorial analysis and for strengthening public policies aimed at equity in maternal health.

Abstract: This research seeks to analyze the meaning of Well Living as an alternative to development, based on the struggle of the collective Guardians of Good Living, in the Agroextractivist Settlement Project of Gleba Lago Grande - PAE Lago Grande, in Santarém. The collective arises in 2019, through mobilizations in defense of the territory, organized by the youth of the communities of the settlement against the interests of mining expansion in PAE. Above all, we address the characteristics of PAE and the main threats that its residents have faced. Based on this, we examined the spatial practices adopted by the Guardians in maintaining defense and raising awareness of EAP residents about the possible impacts of large space projects throughout the settlement. In Santarém, the municipal power since the 1990s has been promoting development policies aimed at agribusiness and real estate speculation. The land projects in the municipality were developed ignoring the presence of local people. The methodology used adopts a qualitative approach, through field work and semi - structured interviews carried out in the years of 2022, 2023 and 2024, being reported in the text on the field experience, proving to be fundamental for the concept of territory and its proposal as an alternative to development. The analysis of the context of the Guardians in PAE Lago Grande is important for the discussion of alternative models to development, especially in a context of pressure on the territories in the Amazon caused by large space projects.

    <title>O céu para uns, o chão para outros: Verticalização e autossegregação em Teresina-PI</title>

Abstract: Esta investigación tiene como objetivo comprender la autosegregación en edificios de apartamentos en el barrio de Jóquei de Teresina, Piauí. El barrio se originó con la construcción del Jockey Club de Piauí, atrayendo a la clase privilegiada del centro de la ciudad al futuro barrio de Jóquei. Así, en las décadas siguientes, surgieron los primeros edificios residenciales. Como barrio privilegiado en la capital, los agentes productores del espacio invirtieron fuertemente en la construcción de edificios de apartamentos para esta misma clase, provocando así un proceso de segregación que se produjo desde su inicio como una subdivisión, pero que se intensificó a medida que los edificios se convirtieron en espacios exclusivos, adoptando una lógica que refuerza las diferencias de clase. Así, esta investigación tiene como objetivo analizar cómo la verticalización en Jóquei contribuye al proceso de autosegregación a través de un enfoque metodológico de investigación cualitativa dividido en tres etapas: la fase exploratoria; trabajo de campo y análisis; y tratamiento empírico y documental. Así, la primera etapa implica la investigación bibliográfica y el desarrollo de entrevistas semiestructuradas. La segunda implicó la aplicación de esta entrevista; y el tercero implicó la transcripción y el análisis de la entrevista: se realizaron cinco entrevistas con residentes de los edificios de apartamentos Jóquei, seleccionados aleatoriamente. De los cinco entrevistados, cuatro expresaron prácticas espaciales que interfieren con &#xD;
el mantenimiento de sus relaciones sociales homogéneas, experiencias intramuros y/o espacios privados, todos interconectados con la ubicación del edificio y la provisión de bienes y servicios. Por lo tanto, la investigación contribuye al debate sobre la comprensión de la complejización del espacio urbano, sirviendo de base para otros investigadores del espacio urbano de Teresina, para la discusión de las prácticas espaciales y para la comprensión de que la verticalización y la autosegregación son &#xD;
posibles maneras de analizar y comprender cómo estos dos fenómenos espaciales pueden coexistir.

    <title>Fronteira: uma análise rizomática do fenômeno fronteiriço</title>

Abstract: This dissertation, entitled “Border: A Rhizomatic Analysis of the Border Phenomenon”, investigates the relationship between place and identity in the border region between Pedro Juan Caballero (Paraguay) and Ponta Porã (Brazil), questioning the notion that national identity is the sole determinant of individual identity. The study proposes that the unique characteristics of border regions foster the development of a distinct border identity, marked by the intersection and hybridization of cultures, histories, and &#xD;
experiences. The research adopts a rhizomatic approach, which allows for understanding the border as a space of multiplicities, contradictions, and non-hierarchical connections. Furthermore, it articulates concepts from Geography, Philosophy, and History, such as alterity, place, space, and biosocial border, to analyze the dynamics of welcoming and denying the Other. The methodology is multimodal, &#xD;
including literature review, on-site observation, qualitative interviews, and semi-structured questionnaires, applied between 2023 and 2025. The data reveal that, despite the negative stereotypes associated with the border (criminality, illegality), daily life is marked by practices of coexistence, exchange, and identity construction. It is concluded that, although the border is a stage for contradictions and denials, it is also a space of potential alterity, where the construction of a community based on mutual recognition and interculturality can be glimpsed. Education plays a crucial role in this &#xD;
process, functioning as a vector for social transformation and the overcoming of stereotypes. The research contributes to deconstructing superficial and negative views of the border, offering a complex and multifaceted analysis that values the everyday experiences and subjectivities of border subjects.
