Abstract: The objective of this study is to evaluate the carbon stock in four agroforestry arrangements implemented by Terena indigenous families in the Cachoeirinha Indigenous Land, Brazil, in order to understand the carbon storage capacity of these agroforests. Theoretical Framework: The importance of indigenous knowledge in addressing climate change is increasingly recognized by the international community. As it is urgent to maintain and reduce the increase in global temperatures, one promising way to do this is to gain a deeper understanding of how these peoples have been managing the
environment in which they live, in a process of adaptation and environmental resilience. Method: The methodology adopted for this research comprises quantifying agroforests by measuring the area, counting and classifying the species of individuals, and using transformed logarithmic equations, which use diameter at breast height, total height, and wood density as predictor variables, aiming to estimate tree biomass. Data collection was carried out through on-site visits. Results and Discussion: The results obtained revealed that the agroforestry systems implemented in the Cachoeirinha Indigenous Territory represent a solid strategy for productive restoration and climate mitigation, combining high carbon sequestration capacity (between 31 and 71 Mg C/ha) with fundamental socioeconomic and cultural
functions. Research Implications: The implications of this research provide support for the importance of further research on the capacity and potential of indigenous agroforestry arrangements to store carbon and thereby contribute to addressing climate change. Furthermore, the research data reinforce that the agroforests established by Terena indigenous families are capable of integrating environmental, social, and economic benefits in territories historically impacted by dispossession and environmental
degradation. Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by bringing to light the first case
study of the environmental, economic, and social potential of indigenous agroforests in the Brazilian Pantanal region, helping to expand knowledge about the resilience and adaptation of indigenous and traditional peoples in the face of climate change and what lessons and actions can be replicated in other contexts.

Abstract: This study analyzed the main socioeconomic, cultural, and identity-related remifications resulting from the implementation of the Capricorn Bioceanic Route in the city of Porto Murtinho, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. The research aims to understand how this megaproject impacts daily life, cultural traditions, local identity, and the economic development of the border region. The methodology adopted was both qualitative and quantitative, through a combination of primary data collected via semi-structured
questionnaires and interviews conducted in person with residents, public officials, and local business representatives, and secondary data obtained from digital bibliographic sources such as scientific articles, magazines, newspapers, books, and relevant institutions. The results and captured perceptions indicate significant transformations, such as an increase in the cost of living, differing views on job creation, infrastructure investments, and the appreciation of cultural events as tools for strengthening identity. Additionally, the Route presents itself as a vector for regional integration, with the potential to boost tourism, trade, and international cooperation. However, the data also reveal challenges, such as the exclusion of the local population from certain immediate benefits. It is concluded that the success of the project depends on the implementation of inclusive public policies and the strengthening of local social capital, aiming to ensure sustainable and equitable development.

Abstract: The Paragem Municipal Natural Park (Parque do Paragem) has strong potential to integrate environmental conservation, recreation, education, and environmental interpretation. However, it faces challenges typical of urban protected areas, such as anthropic pressure, low visibility, and weaknesses in participatory governance. The park’s effectiveness depends on the continuous implementation of pedagogical and participatory practices integrated into the territory, which remain scarcely systematized at the local level. This study, based on a systematic review, indicates that its interpretive potential can be strengthened through guidelines that align thematic content, accessibility, school integration, and monitoring, contributing to its social legitimacy and socio-environmental role. The research uses a
systematic literature review to analyze the interpretive potential of the Parque do Paragem in environmental education and interpretation. For data collection, we used national and international search sources from 2007 to 2025. The methodology involves a careful process of selection, extraction, and analysis of data, focusing on content, messages, infrastructure, audiences, and barriers. The results highlight that, even with the limited number of materials found regarding Parque do Paragem, we identified biodiversity and infrastructure conditions favorable to environmental interpretation practices. We also emphasize that part of its potential relies on the implementation of techniques directed at the public, supported by monitoring visitor perspectives and strengthening governance and community participation to ensure continuity and effectiveness of actions.

Abstract: Indigenous communities face challenges such as environmental degradation, water scarcity, and
economic constraints, factors that compromise quality of life, biodiversity, and traditional agricultural practices. In this context, Agroforestry Systems (AFS) emerge as an alternative to integrate environmental recovery, food production, and income generation. This study evaluated ten SAFs implemented in the Bororó Indigenous Village, in Dourados-MS, between September 2024 and December 2025. The research involved field visits, interviews with families, the use of drones, and the application of a matrix with 30 indicators. The results showed an increase in species diversity, improvements in soil quality, and advances in food security, although water shortages still compromise part of the systems. It was concluded that SAFs strengthen food autonomy and environmental recovery, but depend on greater water infrastructure and continuous technical assistance.
