<title>Relações de arbitrariedade e iconicidade na formação dos sinais em Libras</title>

Abstract: In Brazil, research related to the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras, in portughese) has been increasingly intensified, notably after its recognition as a "means of communication and expression" (Federal Law No. 10.436/02, Article 1). The advances made in the field of linguistic studies and educational practices involving Libras and the needs demanded by Brazilian deaf students/students have been remarkable. Nevertheless, there are still many questions about the language that need to be deepened; one of them concerns the nature of the signs that make up its lexicon. Motivated by the fact that Libras is a sign language, visual and spatial, there are many who defend the idea that these signs are iconic, since many of them do in fact refer to the referents they name. However, this kind of statement does not hold, and several studies have shown that. The subject of iconicity, therefore, is the object of study of this thesis. In order to deepen it, the goal of this thesis was not only to rescue the theoretical aspects related to the iconicity present in languages, whether oral or sign languages, but, above all, to understand the continuum from iconicity to arbitrariness. Four central questions guided this research: (i) How are the relations of formation of signs in Libras?; (ii) Based on the results obtained in (i), is it possible to say that Libras signs are only iconic or arbitrary as generally advocated by many? (iii) Can Libras signs also assume other levels? (iv) Assuming that, according to the specialized literature (KLIMA; BELUGGI, 1979; PERNISS; VIGLIOCCO, 2014; ORTEGA, 2017), besides the iconic and arbitrary relationship, there are two other levels where the lexical items of a language can be distributed, how does this arrangement occur in Libras? To answer these questions, we relied on theoretical assumptions advocated by Descriptive Linguistics (STOKOE, 1960; FERREIRA-BRITO, 1990, 2010; PERINI,2010) and by lexical studies (CABRÉ, 1998). The data for analysis were extracted initially from the work Iconographia dos Signaes dos Surdos-Mudos (GAMA, 1875), in all, 407 signs and their referents that were contrasted in three other works (OATES, 1969; SOCIEDADE TORRE DE VIGIA, 1992; CAPOVILLA et al., 2001). However, for the analysis, we considered only the work with the most updated version: Dicionário da Língua de Sinais do Brasil: a Libras em suas mãos (CAPOVILLA et al., 2017). The results obtained from this investigation process confirmed our initial hypotheses that there are two other possible levels in Libras, the translucent and the obscure, which may fit the continuum of linguistic phenomena from iconicity to arbitrariness.

<title>Risco percebido e confiança como determinantes da intenção de consumo de insetos</title>

Abstract: The success of introducing a new food on the market depends on many factors, because consumer behavior in relation to innovation is a matter of great complexity, because there are several factors that can influence a food choice. These various factors can influence both positively and negatively the intention of innovative food consumption. We emphasize that perceived risk is one of those elements that reduce intention, while trust can have the opposite effect, that is, increase consumption intention. The understanding of how these factors, together, influence a food decision is still a gap. Thus, the question that guides this work is: “What is the relationship between risk perception and consumer confidence in the intention of consuming insects, by the inhabitants of Campo Grande-MS?” Thus, the main objective of this research is to structure an analysis model for risk perception and confidence in the intention of innovative food consumption. Specifically, it seeks to: (i) investigate the relationship between perceived risk and the intention to consume innovative foods, and identify the determinants of perceived risk in the consumption of edible insects; (ii) investigate the relationship between consumer confidence and intention to consume innovative foods; and identify the determining factors of consumer confidence in this consumption; (iii) investigate the relationship between perceived risk and consumer confidence in the intention of innovative food choices; and (iv) to analyze the perception of risk and confidence in the intention to consume insects by the proposed theoretical model, applied to a sample of the capital of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Through the systematic review, the theoretical model of perceived risk (its dimensions) and consumer confidence as predictors of insect consumption intention was elaborated, which makes it possible to visualize the variables involved for each of the constructs and their relationships together. This research deals with data collected from consumers in the city of Campo Grande-MS. Data processing took place with the help of Stata 14.0 software, through Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling. As main results, the hypotheses that perceived risk has a negative effect on insect consumption intention and consumer confidence has a positive effect were not rejected. The performance risk dimension is the one that most influences the perception of general risk and not psychological risk. Regarding the 16 trust variables, 11 variables significantly influence consumer trust: recommendation from health professionals, traceability, certification, supermarkets, restaurants, future need, experience, affective memories, involvement, government and television media, with familiarity being a group of great impact. The hypothesis between perceived risk and consumer confidence is not rejected, in the context of innovative food consumption such as edible insects. However, the theoretical model did not present a good fit to the theory, therefore, we proposed an alternative structural approach, which presented a better fit to the theory. Finally, this modeling may indicate an initial path for future research regarding insect consumption intention.

Abstract: In this work we developed an interpolation method for metric spaces. These interpolation spaces preserve the Lipschitz condition for operators under certain conditions. We also have shown that this method, valid in metrics spaces, still holds in normed spaces without any algebraic structure required. Furthermore, this interpolation method for metric spaces when applied to normed spaces is equivalent to the fashioned K-method very studied in the literature.; Dans ce travail, nous avons développé une méthode d'interpolation pour les espaces métriques.
