Abstract: Objective: To identify and map the literature on perioperative nursing care in coronary artery bypass grafting, with the aim of synthesizing the evidence on the three phases of perioperative nursing care in coronary artery bypass grafting in one place. Methodology: This is a scoping review guided by the recommendations of the Institute Reviewer’s Manual of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and the PRISMA-ScR instrument, based on the following guiding question: What is in the literature about perioperative nursing care in myocardial revascularization? To this end, a protocol was constructed and registered in the Open Science Framework (OSF). The search for the study sample will take place in December 2023 and January 2024, in the following places: LILACS, PubMed, EMBASE, SCOPUS, MEDLINE, SciELO, Web of Science and BDENF. As grey literature, the CAPES Catalogue of Theses and Dissertations, the Portuguese Open Access Scientific Repository (RCAAP) and Google Scholar (in which the first 10 pages of the search were analyzed) will be used, resulting in 394 possible publications. Rayyan software was used to manage the selected materials, applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria established by the study. Results: The study sample consisted of 10 manuscripts. Among the main results, the following stand out: suggestions for planning nursing care for patients in the pre- and post-operative periods of coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG); proposal for a nursing care model for patients in the immediate post-operative period of CABG; application of Dorothea Orem’s theoretical nursing model to individuals in the pre-operative period of CABG; pre-operative nursing care from the perspective of patients in the post-operative period of CABG; contributions of the pre-operative nursing visit (VPreOE) to patient care; implementation of preoperative nursing guidelines for cardiac surgery patients using a digital device; proposed nursing care for patients in the temporary postoperative period of CABG; characteristics of patients in the initial postoperative period (IOP) of CABG; nursing care related to pain in patients in the postoperative period of CABG; clinical event requiring nursing care and situation requiring nursing care; and main complications in the postoperative period of CABG. Final considerations: The study made it possible to identify and map the main scientific evidence on nursing care in the perioperative period of myocardial revascularization surgery, providing greater scientific support for nursing professionals and coordinating decision-making. Finally, it is important for nurses to create a bond with the patient from the moment they decide to carry out the procedure until they are discharged from hospital, and it is also essential to adopt scientifically-backed nursing procedures, such as a nursing care model.

Abstract: to characterize the profile and analyze adherence to treatment of patients with heart failure (HF) admitted to the ward and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a university hospital located in the Brazilian Center-West. Methods: cross-sectional, descriptive study, conducted with patients admitted to the ward and the ICU, with a previous diagnosis of HF. Patients' socioeconomic and clinical data were collected. An instrument composed of 10 questions was used to assess treatment adherence, with scores ranging from 0 to 26 points. Values equal to or greater than 18 points were established as the cut-off point for patients adhering to treatment. Results: 13 patients with HF participated in the study, of which 7 were admitted to the ward and 6 to the ICU. The mean age was 67.3±17.1 and 75.83±14.44, respectively. In the ward there was a predominance of men while in the ICU there was a predominance of women. The mean score of adherence to treatment in those who were hospitalized in the ward was 13.9±2.3 points,
higher than that found in the ICU, with a mean of 11.0±3.5 points. There was a good adherence of the patients to the questions about the correct use of the prescribed medications and the non-ingestion of alcoholic beverages. There was a low adherence of the patients to the questions about the control of the daily consumption of liquids. None of the patients reported checking their daily weight. 57.1% of the patients in the ward stated that they did not use ready-to-eat seasoning in the preparation of meals and 50% of the patients treated in the ICU answered that they use it normally. 42.9% of the patients in the ward and 33.3% of the patients in the ICU answered that they had not missed appointments in the last 15 days. Conclusion: patients with HF treated at the University Hospital have low adherence to the established treatment, especially in relation to non-pharmacological measures, such as fluid restriction, control of weight measurement and attendance at appointments. These findings demonstrate the need to focus on the treatment management of patients with HF at the primary or secondary level.

Cuidados paliativos na cardiologia

Título: Cuidados paliativos na cardiologia

Abstract: The current model of palliative care aims to provide comfort and alleviate suffering from the early stages of an incurable disease through appropriate measures of pain control and other symptoms of physical, psychological, and/or spiritual origin. Disease-modifying therapies can work together with palliative care, aiming to achieve the best possible quality of life for the sick person as well as for their families. However, despite 40% of people worldwide who would benefit from palliative care being affected by cardiovascular diseases, the topic is rarely discussed in the field of cardiology, being neglected in both academic training and clinical practice of healthcare professionals (Biazon and Pavan, 2021). Seeking to understand how healthcare professionals in cardiology services that offer palliative care operate and to understand the reasons for the difficulty in establishing this practice in the field of cardiology, this study was conducted through an integrative review of the literature and exploratory in nature, using articles published from 2010 to 2020, in the databases of Lilacs and PubMed. The descriptors "palliative care," "cardiology," "patient care," "cuidados paliativos," and "cardiologia" were used respectively. In the end, four articles were selected for analysis considering the proposed objectives, with three articles taken from the Lilacs platform and one article from the PubMed platform. It was possible to verify that there are few published studies that depict the role of healthcare professionals in palliative care in the cardiology contexto. The analyzed articles portray a strong tendency to indicate and offer this therapy only to patients in the terminal stage. It was possible to identify that healthcare teams still have a fragmented, hierarchical, and paternalistic approach in providing palliative care to patients with cardiac conditions, which indicates a significant deficit in the preparation of healthcare professionals to deal with issues related to the death and dying process. These challenges highlight the need for a more integrated, patient-centered, and evidence-based approach to palliative care in the field of cardiology. In addition to the true inclusion of palliative care in the curricula of undergraduate courses in healthcare, and the development of training programs for professionals, so that they can effectively approach issues
related not only to end-of-life care but also to palliative care from the moment of diagnosis.

Abstract: The Multiprofessional Residency in Health appears as one of the strategies to encourage multidisciplinary work, it is a lato sensu postgraduate modality that provides in-service education. This work presents the experiences of a resident psychologist of the Multidisciplinary Residency Program in Cardiovascular Care at the University Hospital of the Federal University of Grande Dourados - HU/UFGD. Thus, it aims to describe the experience of a residency internship carried out at the Family Health and Primary Care Support Center, pointing out the potentialities and difficulties encountered in this space. It consists of research with a qualitative approach of the experience report type. The researcher observed that the challenges encountered in the work of psychologists in PHC were: the demand and expectations of management, users and professionals for individual psychological
care, lack of public competitions, the medicalization of suffering, unpreparedness of professionals to provide care. basic level, low criteria for hiring professionals, lack of adequate physical spaces and materials in UBS. On the other hand, the potential of the work found was the work in the territory and the connection with the population, home visits, physical activity groups, matrix support, the expanded clinic and team meetings. This work brought some challenges to psychology working at NASF-AB, as well as the contribution of this professional inserted in the service. Therefore, the professional psychologist at NASF-AB, to develop his work, must be committed to the territory to make a good diagnosis and propose interventions that make sense for users.
