A Erva-mate nos relatos de Hélio Serejo: interseções discursivas entre história e memória

Abstract

This Master’s Degree dissertation in Literature approaches the texts of the writer Hélio Serejo contained in his books Sismório: gringo bochincheiro e bandido (1991); O tereré que me inspira (1986); e No mundo bruto da erva-mate (1991), which constituted the corpus of this work. In order to formulate a critical analysis by memorialistic studies and the history, since the texts of Serejo have as reference the history based on the collective and individual memories, highlighting the mate herb in these narratives, as well as a protagonist in his reports, we will try to understand the whole of Hélio Serejo’s vast work with the perspective of memory and the interrelationship between the discourses of literature and history. The work is anchored in the studies on memory and in theories of history, as well as in the ideas of theorists such as Lejeune (2008); Le Goff (2003); Halbwachs (2006); Nora (1981); and White (2001), among others.
