O Direito de petição individual no sistema regional interamericano de proteção dos direitos humanos

Abstract

The present work has as its main focus to approach the right of individual petition within the Inter-American System of Human Rights. From the subject matter, it will be approached other issues that are concerned with the research object, and these issues will help to foster a favorable dialogue to the proposed hypothesis, also in the achievement of a sound and fluid dialogue. With regard to the complementary approaches that will be portrayed, include the movement of rising of the individual as an international subject of rights, access to justice, and the systematization and operation of the Inter-American System of Human Rights. In the course of this work it will be perceived that this regional system has many obstacles that hinder the basic right of access to justice for American citizens. And in regard to the obstacles in the Inter-American system, this present work aims to portray them confirming that the regional system is still in the process of consolidation. However, it is undisputed that the inter-American regional system has played a very important role in the American continent. Thus saving many lives and contributing to the consolidation of the complex process of democratization in the region.
