Espaço, árvores e plantas na reserva indígena Pirajuí: entre memórias e lugares de agora

Abstract

Este trabajo habla de plantas y árboles en la Reserva Indígena Pirajuí (Paranhos, sur de Mato Grosso do Sul). El objetivo fue comprender cómo las plantas y los árboles participaban y participan de la forma de vida Guaraní Ñandéva, prestando atención a los cambios (pero también a las similitudes) entre el pasado y los lugares del ahora. Metodológicamente, el trabajo se construyó a partir de la articulación de andanzas y conversaciones con personas mayores de la reserva, y de memoria se fueron reconstruyendo los lugares antiguos y comparándolos con los lugares de hoy. El trabajo reveló que los cambios ocurrieron desde la creación de la reserva (1928) hasta la actualidad, afectando también la relación con plantas y árboles. Sobre todo, los cambios se definieron en el contacto desigual con los no indígenas, y sus impactos se experimentan en la actualidad por el distanciamiento de nuestro vivir y vivir étnicos - al lado de la maleza, de los bosques -, pero que escuchar a los mayores ayuda a hacer nuestra forma de estar entre recuerdos ahora.

This work talks about plants and trees in the Pirajuí Indigenous Reserve (Paranhos, southern Mato Grosso do Sul). The objective was to understand how plants and trees participated and participate in the Guarani Ñandéva way of life, paying attention to the changes (but also similarities) between the past and the places of now. Methodologically, the work was built on the articulation of wanderings and conversations with older people in the reserve, and by memory the old places were being reconstructed and compared with the places of today. The work revealed that the changes occurred since the creation of the reserve (1928) until today, also affecting the relationship with plants and trees. Above all, the changes were defined in unequal contact with non-indigenous people, and their impacts are currently experienced by the distancing of our ethnic living and living – next to the bush, to the forests –, but that listening to the elderly helps to make our way of being between memories now.
