O Estado de exceção no teatro de Hilda Hilst: representações

Abstract

Hilda Hilst, best known for her poetry and books considered erotic, is the playwright chosen to walk the path of a research that values literary and scenic knowledge.By bringing theater and dramaturgy to the assimilation of academic knowledge and cultural dissemination, we collaborate with the two public universities in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, which study the scene in their theater courses, the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD) and the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS).We seek to innovate the paths that we can traced in the field of literature, in the construction of culture and in the recognition of the history of the country in an interdisciplinary way.In this dissertation, we analyze the restatements of the state of exception in four of the eight plays written by Hilda Hilst, from 1967 to 1969: The visitor, The birds of the night, The new system and The executioner.We identify how the writing of Hilda Hilst represented the Brazilian military dictatorship in her plays; we have verified how the plays play a double role: that of representing and of reflecting on the historical moment; finally, we explore the ideas of repression experienced in the military regime, pointed out in her work.The mimèsis is the concept that guided the look of this research, whose methodology was bibliographical. The selected theorists for the discussion were Lima (2003), Compagnon (2003), Burnier (2009), Aristóteles (2008), Chartier (2002), among others that became necessary during the analysis.The study recovered the history of the Country and its social, religious and cultural representations through the analyzed pieces. We also find biographical aspects present in the writings of Hilda Hilst, linking the author's theatrical writing to her first written experience, which is poetry.Therefore, theatrical writing is the literary experience that allowed Hilda Hilst to have greater success in her fictional writing. Finally, we conclude that the state of exception represented by the author addresses not only the authoritarian state in which the country lived, but also directs itselfe to everything that can imprison man and his soul such as religion, social standards, politics and the contradictions of justice, man and God.
