A Nova lei de migração: avanços e desafios

Abstract

The phenomenon of migration between countries or continents can happen for many reasons, due to internal battles and conflicts, violence motivated by religion, race, politics, the search for more favorable opportunities to live, by public calamities, may be associated with demand for a more qualified education, among several other reasons. As well, migrations can happen by coercion or by free will. With the increase of the migratory flow there is the necessity that the State creates or modernizes the laws that guarantee the direct of these people as well as their equality with the natives. In this way, this work aims to make an approach on the political, legal, social and cultural aspects that Brazil dispenses to the immigrants as well as to analyze and compare the evolution of the laws for immigration from Post World War II to the present time. The methodology used will be the bibliographic review, research on sites related to the topic and analysis of legal documents pertinent to the subject. The research will be structured in three chapters where the analyzes of different texts and authors will be done on the intricate relationships of the topic addressed. Finally, from the analyzes and reflections made in the present work, we will point out some conclusions about the migrations and its legal aspect in Brazil.
